Who We Are
QUICK JUMP: Who Should I Contact? A diverse staff with extensive industry and university experience is key to OTD's mission of promoting the innovative spirit of the UNC community by developing rewarding relationships with industry. OTD is one of the offices reporting to the office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development.Each OTD Assistant Director and Technology Development Associate manages a portfolio of cases from idea to product. Commercialization, marketing and licensing strategies are carefully developed in cooperation with the inventors. All Material Transfer Agreements are handled by the MTA Coordinator and her assistant.
Our experienced support staff provide a firm base to ensure the office runs efficiently, and is in business compliance. For the convenience of the Research community at UNC-Chapel Hill, two members of the support staff, Doris Perry and Jennifer Dean, have their Notary Public certification and can provide on-site services.
